Stay at HollyOaks
Creek House Cottage was built in 1929 on the site of the present-day Manor Home. It was moved to its existing location in 1941. The beautiful pine interior was harvested from trees felled on the estate, and the brick foundation piers are original Savannah grey bricks, made here by hand in our historic city.
The cottage has been painstakingly restored. We have sought to equip it to a high standard with an interior designer who is local to our area. The plush beds have memory foam mattresses and hotel linens. The cottage sleeps six with a King bed in the master bedroom, a King as well as a Twin in the second bedroom. The endless hot water system ensures everyone gets a hot shower.
Consider this a time free of distractions. Bring a book and nestle in on the back porch where you can enjoy bird song and squirrels playing nearby.
There are several footpaths through the woods and down to the creek, including beautiful spots for picnics and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Walk the grounds of the estate and even enjoy the view from the bluff over the Grove River behind the Manor Home.
You may see deer at dawn and dusk, hear an owl hooting, or see a fox skittering about during the evening. During the daytime, when you are not touring downtown Savannah, you may enjoy relaxing on the porch as you enjoy the soft breezes and swaying Spanish moss in the dozens of live oaks.
